Jesus began to speak to Marguerite
by means of internal locutions (words heard in her heart).
She usually prayed before this face,
a reproduction of a painting of father Andreas Bosteels, o.f.m.

Discovering the importance of the messages she was receiving and recognising their supernatural nature, Father Maes, her spiritual adviser, asked Marguerite to put everything in writing. Considering that the messages were not only for Marguerite’s sake, but for all, he asked himself for the imprimatur from the Bishop of Liège, which she was depending upon.
Some of these words meant more and more clearly the will of Jesus’ heart:
Little souls, humble and confident,
approach your God without fear.
Form around him, for his greater glory,
an invincible army
under the sweet and gentle guidance of My very gracious Mother.
Keep the enemy in check by your faith
and your love.
